Why Book Chemical Peel?

Naturally, the human skin is configured to regenerate by replacing dead skin cells on the surface with younger skin cells. Since this process takes longer time than expected. We introduce exfoliating treatments like chemical peels to accelerate the process.

Chemical peels are highly instrumental in the treatment of certain skin problems like acne, age spots, pigmentation, pores-related issues, wrinkles, scars, sun damage, etc. They enhance general skin appearance by stimulating skin cell regenerative activity.

How Our Procedure Works

Before carrying out the procedure, we will first clean your face, cover your hair, and then your eyes with gauze, goggles, or tape. We may use pain relief or sedatives to numb the treatment area depending on the level of the chemical peel.

During the procedure, our pro-medical Esthetician will then apply the chemical solution on your skin using a cotton-tipped applicator. When this happens, your skin will start changing color showing that the peeling process has been triggered.

At the end of the procedure, we will give you a special skincare kit which is to be used within 24 hours of undergoing the chemical peel. This is to ensure a long-lasting smooth skin experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have any questions? Here are answers to our most commonly asked questions.

What is Chemical Peel?

Chemical Peel is a non-surgery aesthetic procedure where an acidic solution is applied to the skin to remove damaged or aged skin layers so that softer and more youthful skin underneath is revealed.

What should I expect after the chemical peel?

The results vary according to the peel you experienced. One may experience a longer recovery time and another might experience a shorter recovery depending on the chemical peel. But one thing you should not expect is pain.
The only aftermath sensation you may experience include dryness, tightness, and slight itching. Despite the feeling, please we recommend that you don’t ever pull the peeling skin off yourself. As this may cause scarring.

When should I get a chemical peel?

When you start noticing chronic and recurring cases of acne. Or, you wish to clear the scars left by your previous acne. Then, a chemical peel may be the solution for you. It also works well in reducing skin discoloration.
Furthermore, sun damage is one thing we usually face after a long summer. To reduce the effect of sun damage, you may need a chemical peel.

 Is the procedure painful?

The answer is NO.
Most times, chemical peels are not usually painful except in a few cases where local anesthesia may be applied to numb the area. Other than that, you can only feel dryness and tightness.

How much does it cost?

At Gold Cosmetics and skincare, we always ensure all our products and treatments are quite affordable to our customers.
The cost of the chemical peel varies based on the type of peel your skin needs. Should you wish to make an inquiry about the price, kindly contact us right away!

Why do a chemical peel?

To enjoy long-lasting results in the treatment of some skin problems, your skin may require a chemical peel. This is to help your skin get rid of the already damaged area which originally may take your skin a long time to do so.
For example, a chemical peel may be required for the treatment of acne, acne scarring, wrinkles, sun damage, skin discoloration, patches, etc.

What are the various types of chemical peels?

Chemical peel can be divided into the following categories:
- Deep chemical peels
- Medium chemical peels
- Superficial chemical peels
Superficial is the mildest of all. It penetrates only the outermost skin layer (epidermis). Medium chemical peel penetrates the epidermis and the mid-dermis. While the deep chemical penetrates the deeper layer of the skin.

What are the acidic solutions used in chemical peels?

You may find Alpha hydroxy acids like lactic, glycolic, and mandelic acid. The acid solution may also be Trichloroacetic acid (TCA), Retinol, or Salicylic acid
Whatever may be the case, you can always trust our pro medical Esthetician to choose the right acidic solution depending on your skin type and specific peel needs.
